Visiting Kether in Bellingham
I’m not a big fan of cities, especially not living in one, but I have to admit that Bellingham is someplace I could consider living. It’s not huge and unknowable. Lots of small locally owned shops, a thriving art community, and unlike Boulder, it doesn’t seem to be dominated by money and the consumerist culture that feeds and is fed by that excess of cash.
We had a great time, visited a couple of islands, ate gobs of seafood, hiked and even camped on Yellow Aster Butte in the Mt Baker/Snoqualmie Wilderness Area.
I didn’t think I could do an 8 mile backpacking trip. I was fooled, pleasantly so. See the pictures below.
